LCT Support Services is very pleased to be selected as the official Port Agent in Swansea for Fastnet Line.
LCT Swansea will provide the management and staff for passenger and freight check-in, unaccompanied trailer control and other associated port agent services to Fastnet Lines.
Fastnet Line has revived the Swansea to Cork route since its inaugural sailing from Cork in March 2010. The ferry service saves 600km (375 miles) driving on a round trip and connects the M4 Motorway in the UK directly to Cork on Ireland's South coast. The service runs overnight sailing 6 nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from Cork and Wednesday, Friday & Sunday from Swansea) departing at 21:00 and arriving at 7:00 the next morning. Additional sailings will be available in the summer season.
The Port of Swansea is situated on the edge of the five-mile sweep of Swansea Bay. Wales' waterfront city is situated adjacent to the Gower peninsula, the UK's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, featuring dramatic limestone cliffs in contrast to beautiful sandy beaches.
The port has a number of facilities approved to accommodate cruise vessels and is able to offer a full range of services to vessels depending upon requirements. Facilities are available for both turnaround and call-in cruise visits.
Swansea Ferryport comprises a single berth with passenger facilities and car-marshalling areas, and a 76-m linkspan bridge, which can be lowered through 12.95 m to allow for variation in tide levels and ships' flotation.
